First giveaway of 2009

I feel like giving something away today.

I thought about giving away the big blue ball, but then what would I sit on?

Instead, I dug down into my pile of goodies and came up with Fit Family, a book all about having fun exercising with your kids.

Written by Heidi Hill (who has her own blog, by the way), the book includes tips on scheduling your fitness outings, what snacks to provide, solo workout tips and first-hand stories of what works for other families.

Since I'm trying to concentrate on staying upright on my ball at the moment, let's keep this simple. All you have to do to enter is leave a message -- however pithy -- and on Sunday morning I'll draw a random winner.

Do you mean to tell me we don't need to tweet about it, subscribe to your newsletter, write a blog post about it or include it in our sidebars??? This is so refreshing I don't know what to make of it yet ;)

I love Heidi's blog. Good stuff! I assume when it says "Fit Family", that excludes the princess Bichon Frises? Heaven forbid they break a sweat or mess up their hair. ha!

Great giveaway!

Oh goody I am your first comment! I would love to win this book! I am new to the whole weightloss thing and I think I have been doing a great job. It is hard to figure out things for the family to do )fitness wise) and this book sounds perfect!

A good idea, making it a family affair. Hopefully some good tips involving toddlers, because that's what I have in my house.
